Aaron’s Story

Aaron Byzak is chief advocate for Hazel's Army - a community-based advocacy group, for those who had lost loved ones as the result of poor or improper care at senior facilities. Aaron is a former EMT , community leader, and serves as the current chair of the San Diego North Economic Development Council. Hazel’s Army helped lead a massive state-wide assisted living reform effort in 2014 and since then has been focused on educating youth and the broader community about the importance of seniors and the challenges faced by other at-risk communities related to mental health access, homelessness and housing instability and other priorities issues.

I don’t typically endorse candidates, but as the Founder and Chief Advocate of Hazel’s Army, I think it’s important to support those candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to seniors and other at-risk groups.

I’ve known Jordan for the better part of two decades and know of his commitment to innovative policy to help those most in need. He’s the real deal.
